SADTU Northern Cape welcomes and congratulates the newly appointed MEC for Education, Honourable Zolile Monakali.

We believe that MEC Monakali with his credentials and also as a teacher by profession, understands the importance of education in the lives of South Africans.  Education is the future, and we challenge the MEC to take the Northern Cape Education Department to greater heights in ensuring that quality public education is realised. 

MEC Monakali is taking the baton from a fallen hero, the late MEC Mac Jack who was passionate about transforming education. He left behind the legacy of great leadership, commitment and we believe that MEC Monakali will carry on this legacy.

We trust without doubt that the newly appointed MEC will heed the call in making sure that the purpose of education is attained. 

As SADTU in the Northern Cape we are looking forward to working with the MEC in the same way we had worked with all other MECs appointed in our sector.  

We once more extend our warmest congratulations to Honourable MEC Zolile Monakali and wish him well in his new area of deployment.
