SAEPU IS WORRIED ABOUT THE ANTICIPATED 3RD WAVE OF COVID19

The South African Emergency Personnel’s Union (SAEPU) is very much worried about the anticipated 3rd wave of Covid-19. We are not happy about the roll out chameleon gesticulations of vaccination while our members are still sceptical about the vaccine and the community members at large.

We, as the Union representing EMS workers want to urge employer to purchase enough apparatus precisely to be ready for the next wave and stop misleading the public that they are always ready while they know very well that they were never ready. We know very well that when the wave starts to rise workers are the ones who are pushed around and intimidated to risk their lives and treat confirmed positive Covid patients without PPE.

We are reminding the employer because they lack thinking capabilities to be proactive as they are always reactive.

We do not have to be seen treating Covid matters the same as before. We must learn to do things much better than before including reckless and contradictions of information from the employer to the public must stop.
