NUM and Elijah Barayi Memorial Training Centre to hold the 7th Annual Graduation Shop Stewards Ceremony Tomorrow

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and Elijah Barayi Memorial Training Centre (EBMTC) will be hosting 7th Annual Graduation Ceremony of the NUM Shop Stewards and Leadership at its Centre in Midrand this coming Friday.

The theme of the graduation ceremony is “Celebrating education of the working class in memory of Madiba”. 61 members of the NUM will be graduating in SAQA Accredited courses with Trade Union Practice and Labour Law courses

EBMTC is an accredited training institution established by the NUM for the purpose of developing its members in mining, energy, and construction.

“In its 25th year since inception, EBMTC in partnership with the NUM Education and Training Unit has managed to empower over 19000 shop stewards” Mr. Mercy Sekano, Executive Director of EBMTC

“EBMTC is an ETDP SETA accredited training Institution that offers quality programs to empower the working class, and we have dedicated this graduation to the Late Life Time Honorary NUM President, Nelson Mandela” Continued Mr. Sekano.

The graduation ceremony will take place as follows:
