COSATU Call Center Number 010 002 2590

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has recently launched a new call center to provide much-needed assistance to workers facing labour-related challenges. This dedicated resource aims to offer support, information, and guidance to both members of COSATU-affiliated unions and unorganized workers, ensuring that they have a place to turn for help with workplace issues.

COSATU fully support its affiliate NEHAWU on its planned National Day of Action march to the North West Provincial Legislature tomorrow

The Congress of South African Trade Unions fully supports its affiliate NEHAWU on its planned National Day of Action march to the North West Provincial Legislature tomorrow [May 16, 2018] against corruption and maladministration.

We call on all our members, workers in general and all of those who are opposed to corruption to join the march tomorrow. The fight against corruption is not just a workplace issue but a societal matter.

We all need to take the fight against corruption far more seriously because it has turned our state institutions that were supposed to be a source of national pride into symbols of criminality, depravity and disgrace.

It diverts money away from healthcare and education into funding the lifestyles of the corrupt members of the elite.

The collapse of many municipalities and departments in the province of North West province shows that corruption has become brazen and endemic.

This is the reason why all citizens need to confront and defeat the cancer of corruption because it is developing and metastasizing. We need to expose the blatant looting that is happening under the guise of Radical Economic Transformation. We should refuse to allow people to loot under the guise of economic transformation.

Details of the march are as follows
Assembly point : Montshioa Stadium, Mafikeng
Date : Wednesday May 16, 2018
