The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has recently launched a new call center to provide much-needed assistance to workers facing labour-related challenges. This dedicated resource aims to offer support, information, and guidance to both members of COSATU-affiliated unions and unorganized workers, ensuring that they have a place to turn for help with workplace issues.

NEHAWU and Minister of Social Development to brief media at 1pm on SASSA

The leadership of the National Education, Education Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] and the Minister of Social Development, Honourable Susan Shabangu, will brief the media this afternoon after a meeting convened to discuss the challenges affecting our members and communities brought about the tug of war regarding social grant payments by South African Social Security Agency [SASSA].

  • Social Pensions System [Socpen] fraud
  • Issues with biometric enrolment of beneficiaries
