In honour of our stalwart Former President Nelson Mandela and commemorating his 67 years of selflessness, Cosatu Western Cape Gender Structure will be spending this Mandela Day cleaning and making a change in the lives of abused women and children.

Athlone House of Strength is the shelter to help abused women and children, this shelter is a “one stop” victim empowerment centre, that encompasses the holistic approach to the plight of Gender Base Violence victims. It goes beyond attending the immediate physical and emotional needs of the victims.

The Shelter is sharing the same values as COSATU, as it strives to ensure that women are empowered and integration back to the society.
