The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has recently launched a new call center to provide much-needed assistance to workers facing labour-related challenges. This dedicated resource aims to offer support, information, and guidance to both members of COSATU-affiliated unions and unorganized workers, ensuring that they have a place to turn for help with workplace issues.

COSATU North West Media statement on the Launch of Sanitary Towels for less fortunate girls

Cosatu in the North West Province will be launching the campaign of providing sanitary towels for the less fortunate girls across the province. The campaign is to request government to consider providing free sanitary towels to less fortunate girls as part of social responsibility and addressing the triple challenges.

The launch will be attended by Cosatu 2nd Deputy President who will be accompanied by Gender Structure both provincially and nationally. The activity will also be attended by all government departments, several NGO’s and Alliance Partners. The department of Home Affairs will be present to ensure that all disadvantaged kids from the area who do not have birth certificates are assisted.

We have clustered all schools of Mareetsane area for the launch. Those schools are:

  • Laerskool Mareetsane
  • Setilo Secondary school
  • Batho- Batho Primary school
  • Retlakgona Primary school
  • Mphoetsile Primary school

The launch takes place tomorrow 24th October 2018, @10h00 at Laerskool Mareetsane, let us all joint our hands together and restore the dignity of our less fortunate girls we welcome any contribution to this program.
