The Congress of South African Trade Unions in Mpumalanga will embark on a protest action to defend the 5 unfairly dismissed and 12 charged with misconduct workers at Impact plantation.

The federation will be fighting to defend the following violations:-

• That the workers were unfairly dismissed for exercising their right to strike.
• That the workers were victimised for expressing their displeasure by singing and chanting revolutionary songs.

The demonstration is scheduled to take place as follows:-

Venue: Assembly point Kemp garage in Piet Retief and proceed with a march to Impact plantation.
