DENOSA Mpumalanga to hold 9th Provincial Congress in Mbombela

DENOSA in Mpumalanga will be hosting its 9th Provincial Congress from 21 – 23 November at Nomndeni Lodge in Mbombela (Nelspruit). Day one will commence at 10h00.

The congress will be addressed by DENOSA President, Simon Hlungwani.

Other guest speaker to address Day One of the three-day congress include Health MEC in the province, Sisekani Manzini. Messages of support will be delivered by the following:

  • Provincial Chairperson of Nursing Education Association (NEA): Zodwa Mphego;
  • SANCO Provincial Secretary: Mike Soko;
  • COSATU Provincial Secretary: David Mokoena;
  • SACP Provincial Secretary: Bonakele Majuba; and
  • ANC Provincial Secretary: Mandla Ndlovu.

Guests to address Day Two of the congress will include presentations on:

1. Balancing Trade Unionism and Professionalism in the organisation;
2. Processes of Collective Bargaining;
3. Medico-Legal implications of non-translation of nurses into posts vs Scope of practice for nurses in the public health sector; and
4. Discussions on the above.

Day Two will commence at 09h00.
