COSATU in the Northern Cape ready for the National Strike on Wednesday 13th February 2019

Cosatu in the Northern Cape is more than ready for a big march in the Province. All COSATU affiliates will assemble at the open area close to the KEMO Hotel in Kimberley for a march that is scheduled to start at 09:00

Workers, Alliance Partners and the civil society will March to the CCMA House where management of the CCMA, DMR, Department of Labour and some other employers will receive the memorandums. The march will proceed to Metlife Towers Buildings to deliver the memorandums to the Departments of Education, Economic Development and Health as well as SABC, KEM JV and AFRISAM.

The demands will include the stoppage of retrenchments/job losses, retention of current jobs and creation of new job opportunities, end of Racism, proper Health & Safety and better conditions of employment across all sectors of our economy, implementation of the National Minimum Wage and many other socio-economic issues.
