The Congress of South African Trade Unions will be having its national May Day event in KZN on Wednesday, 01 May at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont. The event will be held under the theme ““Deepen the Back to Basics Campaign, Consolidate the Struggle for NDR and Advance the Struggle for Socialism”.
KwaZulu Natal will host a national May Day to be addressed by COSATU President, ANC President and the SACP General Secretary.
The 2019 Workers Day will provide an opportunity and a platform for COSATU to reflect on the demands of workers and the course of the struggle to be undertaken as we move closer to the national elections and beyond.
COSATU in the Province is, therefore, inviting all Media Houses to the main media briefing to reflect on the state of readiness for May Day Celebration, particularly the National May Day.
The media briefing will be held as follows:
