The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] as part of its international solidarity programme will have a demonstration at the Embassies of the Kingdom of Spain and of the Kingdom of Morocco in Tshwane on the 31st July 2019.
The protest action is part of the international campaign for the rights of the Saharawi and the Basque people to self-determination. NEHAWU calls for the release of Basque Political prisoners and reiterates its condemnation of the continued human rights violations by Morocco including the violence meted out by the Moroccan security forces on the Sahrawi people who were celebrating the victory of the Algerian national team at the African Cup of Nations on the 19th July 2019.
NEHAWU will amongst others call on the Moroccan government to release all those detained during the illegal raid.
The demonstration is scheduled to start as follows:

The memorandums will be delivered to the Ambassador of Spain and a representative of Morocco.
