The Congress of South African Trade Unions in Limpopo, through is Gender Desk, will be embarking on Schools Sanitary Towels Project in partnership with Old Mutual during August 2019 Women’s Month. The federation has always participated and contributed to the struggle to transform gender relations in our country and society.
Many girls, especially from rural areas, do unfortunately miss school during “that time of the month” as they cannot afford sanitary towels. COSATU has therefore partnered with Old Mutual to provide sanitary towels to the girl child particular in the rural areas of our province. The project is planned to unfold in sixteen schools across the province as follows:
