The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] will convene a press conference on tomorrow afternoon to communicate its plans to defend the National Health Insurance [NHI] and a comprehensive plan to ensure that it is fully implemented for universal healthcare in our life time.

The press conference will also touch on the following issues:

·       Our programme of action to ensure submissions of commentary by our members and the public to the Portfolio Committee for Health in support of the NHI

·       The Health Market Inquiry findings

·       The health sector anti-corruption forum and a list of corruption cases that we want the forum to investigate as soon as possible
