COSATU Call Center Number 010 002 2590

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has recently launched a new call center to provide much-needed assistance to workers facing labour-related challenges. This dedicated resource aims to offer support, information, and guidance to both members of COSATU-affiliated unions and unorganized workers, ensuring that they have a place to turn for help with workplace issues.

COSATU Deputy General Secretary Solly Phetoe to be discharged from hospital today

The Congress of South African Trade Unions and the family of Comrade Solly Phetoe would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff members at Milpark Hospital and Netcare Rehabilitation Centre for their good work in attending to COSATU Deputy General Secretary Cde Solly Phetoe, since his car accident last year. Cde Solly Phetoe has been in hospital since he was involved in a car accident on the 26th of November 2019.

We are pleased to announce that after undergoing some surgeries Cde Solly Phetoe is making good progress and recuperating. He will be discharged from the hospital today and will continue to receive treatment as an outpatient.

The federation and the family would like to thank its staff members and leaders, those of affiliated unions, all Alliance partners, other federations and unions, including his church for supporting Cde Solly Phetoe and his family since his car accident last year.

The family has been overwhelmed by good wishes, visitors, prayers and messages of support throughout the period of his hospitalisation.

We hope you will all continue to keep him and his family in your prayers. The Federation working with his family will continue to provide updates on his progress. We also wish that the family be given time and space to help him fully recover and that visits be kept to a minimum.
