The Congress of South African Trade Unions mourns the death of South Africas Ambassador to Denmark Cde Zindziswa Mandela, who was the daughter of struggle icons Cde Nelson Mandela and Mam Winnie Madikizela Mandela. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues, and friends.

Cde Zindzi Mandela was an activist in her own right and held the fort with aplomb when her parents were incarcerated by the apartheid regime.

She never stopped being a courageous voice of the people; she spoke out against injustice without fear or favour. We remain forever grateful to her for her immense contribution to the liberation of this country from the shackles of apartheid.

We send our prayers to her family. Words cannot express the sympathy we feel at this loss for the Mandela family and the entire mass movement. 

We dip our revolutionary banner in salute of this revolutionary. She will be greatly missed.

May her soul rest in peace!
