The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) in the Northern Cape bewails the untimely departure of the former SADTU leader and the current MEC of Education comrade Ntsikelelo MacCollen Jack (Mac Jack).
Comrade Jack succumbed to a short illness in the late hours of Wednesday, 12th August 2020.He has served as a distinctive trade unionist and did not disappoint workers when he was called to serve different structures of the ANC and ultimately in government.
The trade union movement will miss his vibrancy, selflessness, and profound vision of reinvigorating education but most of all, his passion for economic development in the province. Comrade Jack possessed a great sense of humour and continued to work together with the trade union movement in an endeavour to harmonise workplaces and to ensure equitable stakeholder participation in socio-economic matters that concerns people of the Northern Cape.
We convey our heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, the entire family, relatives, the ANC, and all progressive formations during this time of grief.
May his revolutionary soul rest in eternal peace.
