The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] is forging ahead with its full-blown strike following the National Day of Action which took place on the 3rd September 2020.
The national union gave the President seven days to respond favourably and adequately to our demands as contained in our memorandum of demands. So far, no response has been received from the President. In this regard, as NEHAWU we are going ahead with our intention to embark on an extensive national campaign aimed at withdrawing our labour power in all the sectors that we organises until our demands are met favourable to workers.
A press conference will be convened on the 10th September 2020 to outline the state of readiness and details of the strike.
