The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] will convene a Special National Executive Committee [NEC] meeting on Wednesday September 30, 2020 to receive a detailed report on the outcomes of the meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The meeting will thoroughly analyse progress or lack thereof in relation to government’s response to our demands as listed in the memorandum handed-over on the 3rd of September 2020. The meeting will also discuss preparations and details of our full-blown strike in all the sectors we organise.

The Special NEC will map a way forward which will be communicated in a press conference to be convened at the end of the meeting. A photo opportunity will be organised before the start of the meeting at 10:00 am.
