The Congress of South African Trade Unions is concluding its two-day Special Central Executive Committee [CEC] meeting that started yesterday, (Tuesday,06 April 2021). The meeting is convened to discuss COSATU’s perspective and approach to the upcoming Local Government Elections in the light of serious tensions between workers and the ANC government over the ongoing budget cuts and attacks on collective bargaining.

This will be followed up by a standard media briefing to communicate the outcomes of the meeting. The details of the media briefing are as follows:
