The Congress of South African trade Unions (COSATU) Free Statecongratulates NEHAWU Free State for hosting a successful 14th Provincial Congress for three days 04-06 May 2021 under the theme ‘Strengthen Workplace Organization, Deepen Class Consciousness and Advance Internationalism’.

The 14th Provincial Congress adopted a range of policy decisions which are intended to take NEHAWU to another level in consolidating and advancing the interests of members. The central point according to the 14th Provincial Congress is that members come first.

The congress also elected new leadership to lead the union until the next elective congress. The following comrades form the newly elected leadership collective:

Provincial Treasurer: Cde. Jacob Mpiti
