The Congress of South African Trade Unions will convene a three-day Special Central Executive Committee [CEC] meeting, starting tomorrow -Monday, 02 -04 August 2021, to finalise the preparations for the upcoming COSATU Central Committee {COSATU CC} that will be convened next month, 22 -25 September 2021.

Amongst a number of things that the Central Committee {CC} will do is to assess the implementation of our 13th National Congress resolutions and campaigns. The central focus of our work is to build our organisation so that we are able to defend the gains of the workers and also better represent the dreams and aspirations of the workers and the working class with confidence.

This will be followed up by a standard media briefing to communicate the outcomes of the meeting. The details of the media briefing are as follows:
