The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) will convene its 7th Central Committee Meeting to be held virtually on a Zoom Platform between the 20th -23rd of September 2021. The meeting will be convened to assess the progress that has been made in implementing the outcomes of the federation’s 13th National Congress, and to review and adjust our tactics and strategies to deal with the contemporary challenges in the buildup to the federation’s 14th National Congress. 

This is not just about fulfilling the Constitutional mandate, but it is about taking steps to build a strong, militant, and fighting federation that is well equipped to defend workers, and successfully wage campaigns that will improve their standard of living and working conditions.

All members of the media are invited to cover the meeting. The meeting will be open to the media on the first ( Monday) and the last day (Thursday). All those interested in covering the event are encouraged to send a confirmation with an email address where a Zoom link will be sent for the meeting. This can be forwarded to sizwe@cosatu.org.za
