The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) signed a 3-year wage agreement today with Harmony Gold at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.
The duration of this agreement shall be a period of 3 years from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024 and shall remain in force and effect until amended or replaced by a new agreement.
Harmony Gold agreed to pay the following increases over the 3 years from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024.

Maternity Leave
Harmony Gold will provide female employees with 6 months paid maternity leave in terms of applicable policies and procedures.
Paternity Leave
Harmony Gold will provide male employees with 5 days paid leave and 5 days unpaid leave per leave cycle subject to section 25 A of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act No 75 of 1997 “the BCEA” and applicable policies and procedures.
