The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) will present its submission on the Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Bill to Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Police from 10h00 Wednesday 16 March 2022.

The Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Bill is an important Bill that seeks to develop the South African Police Service’s woefully inadequate forensic database and capacitate it to collect DNA data from persons convicted and imprisoned for serious criminal offences.
