Members of the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (SAMWU) will be marching and delivering a memorandum of demands to the management of the Lepelle Norther Water in Polokwane on Friday, 22 April 2022.
Lepelle Northern Water is a state-owned bulk water provider to almost 90% of Limpopo province’s residents and businesses. Issues leading to the march include;
- Safety of workers.
- The Board’s failure in its fiduciary duties.
- Implementation of collective agreements.
- Unilateral change of conditions of service.
- Insourcing of services at the waterboard.

Venue: SABC Park, Polokwane then proceed to march to Lepelle Northern Water offices on 1 Landros Mare Street, Polokwane.
