The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) in Limpopo wishes to declare is unwavering support to NEHAWU’s protected strike declared at the South African Revenue Services (SARS). NEHAWU has called for a national shutdown on the 12th July 2022 in all SARS service centres.
The following are the NEHAWU demands:
- Rejects the 1.39% offered by the SARS Commissioner
- Demand real salary increase like political office bearers
- Pay workers decent increment to collect revenue for the country
The federation is therefore calling on all SARS workers to join the National Shutdown on the 12th July 2022. In the same spirit, COSATU is making a call to all other sister unions to offer solidarity by joining NEHAWU pickets at the following SARS service centres:
- Polokwane
- Lebowakgomo
- Giyani
- Thohoyandou
- Groblersbridge Borderpost
- Beitbridge Borderpost
