The Congress of South African Trade Unions in Mpumalanga will be staging a protest action in Machadodorp toll plaza against exorbitant toll fees by Trac in the Mpumalanga N4 National Road. The high toll fees and petrol prices are worsening the already strained economic conditions which are putting pressure on the working class and the poor.  

The Federation will be leading this campaign, whose primary aim is:  

–       To fight for the reduction of high toll fees in the midst of high levels of economic downturn

–       To fight for Toll free fees for public transportation such as your taxis and busses

–       To fight for cross subsidies of all modes of transport who regularly drive on the N4 road with a view to alleviate burden brought by the ever-increasing price of petrol.
