SAMWU to brief members and media on suspension of JRA CEO and the appointment of appointment of a CEO accused of R400 million graft. 

Members of the South African Municipal Workers’ Union (SAMWU) in the Johannesburg Region will tomorrow (Friday 18 November) hold a general meeting to brief it’s members on the decision by the City of Johannesburg to place on precautionary suspension, the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) CEO Tshepo Mahanuke over allegations of fake qualifications. 

The union will further brief members and the media of the intentions by the City to appoint an Acting CEO who previously served as JRA CEO, but left with a cloud over his head with his involvement in the R400 million tender graft at JRA. 

Members of SAMWU will gather outside JRA Offices. Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the event as follows:
