Public sector unions to brief the media on next course of action on public sector wage talks debacle

The public sector trade unions at the Public Sector Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC) will convene a media briefing at the PSCBC offices at 11h00 on Thursday 16th February 2023, where they will be making an announcement on the joint unions’ next cause of action following the failure by government to respond to the 10% percent wage demand for public servants for the 2022/23 financial year.

The briefing will be addressed by DENOSA, NEHAWU, POPCRU, SAEPU, SAMATU, SAPU and NUPSAW

The briefing will also announce the unions’ position on the upcoming Special Council meeting that has been called by the employer on Friday, 17 February 2023, in preparation for the 2023/24 wage negotiations.
