The Agricultural Food And Allied Democratic Workers Union (AFADWU) wishes to encourage its members to be part of the National Day of Action Scheduled to take place on the 6 July 2023 across all provinces in the country to stop the attack on collective bargaining.

AFADWU as an affiliate of COSATU will take part in a National day of action, led by the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) All workers are expected to take part on the 6th July 2023, to support the protest action relating to Socio-Economic issues in the Country. The protest action is protected by section 77 (1) (c) of the LRA authorized by NEDLAC. As we know that the Agricultural sector is most sector that is under the attack by the most employer and the majority of the employees under this sector are still being underpaid not even meeting the minimum wage that workers should be paid in South Africa.

The National Day of Action is essential and workers should take part in this day to voice out their needs as workers and fight the corruption that is taking place, the unity of workers is essential and if workers are united they can win, the working class should support the national day of action.

The Agricultural Food And Allied Democratic Workers Union urges its members to be part of the national day of action strike which is a protected strike under section (77) of LRA.
