The South African Municipal Workers’ Union (SAMWU) has noted a statement issued by the City of Tshwane following the ruling of the South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC) dismissing the City’s exemption application. In playing its dirty tricks and trying to deny workers their salary increases, the City has made know its intentions review the ruling. 

SAMWU National Office Bearers will therefore be briefing the media on the outcomes of the exemption application and the intentions by the City to review the ruling and the next course of action for workers and the Union. The media will also be briefed on two other exemption applications currently before the SALGBC.
