The media is invited to the opening and closing sessions of the 12th BRICS Trade Union Forum Plus Dialogue taking place in Durban at the Aha Gateway Hotel.

The Forum will be opened on the 26th September at 9h00 by the SA BTUF Presidency (comprised of the presidents of the 4 hosting (SA) federations).

Amongst the key speakers will be the SA Minister of Employment and Labour, TW Nxesi.

In the closed sessions, BRICS Trade Unions will discuss a number of pressing issues that will culminate in the final declaration. African regional Trade Union partners will also be partners in the discussions, as partners in the Outreach programme.

The closing session will be at 15h00 on the 27th Sept, where the 12th BTUF Declaration will be adopted before handing over by the SA BTUF Presidency to the Russian Federation for 2024.
