All media houses are hereby alerted that the south African clothing and textile workers union [SACTWU] will convene its 15^th National Congress as follows:

Date: 14^th-17^th October 2023

Time: 09h00-18h00

Venue: Cape Town International Convention Centre 1

Besides the normal Congress related matters which will be considered by delegates, our 15^th National Congress is expected to be addressed by the following guest speakers, at various times during the Congress proceedings:

• Zingiswa Losi, COSATU President
• Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Ebrahim Patel
• ANC Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula
• SACP General Secretary, Solly Mapaila
• Minister of Labour and Employment, Thulas Nxesi

The sessions by our guests will be open to the media.

We will issue a further media alert by tomorrow, 13^th October 2023, primarily to confirm the specific times when the above-mentioned speakers are expected to address our 15^th National Congress.
