The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has recently launched a new call center to provide much-needed assistance to workers facing labour-related challenges. This dedicated resource aims to offer support, information, and guidance to both members of COSATU-affiliated unions and unorganized workers, ensuring that they have a place to turn for help with workplace issues.

COSATU Mpumalanga supports the CEPPWAWU march in defence of SASOL workers’ rights08 November 2023

The Congress of South African Trade Unions(COSATU) in Mpumalanga pledges its support for the planned march of its affiliate, the Chemical, Energy, Paper, Printing, Wood and Allied Workers Union(CEPPAWU), in defence of the rights of its members who are working at SASOL.

CEPPWAWU will lead the protest action to raise the plight of its members at SASOL.

The march aims to address the following atrocities:

# Compliance with Health and Safety and accountability by SASOL management

# Away with short payment of workers

# We demand SASOL stop victimizing workers when joining the union

# Stop undermining agreements

# Compliance with LRA regarding access of Union officials at SASOL premises

# Compliance with socio economic issues in Local community

CEPPWAWU in Mpumalanga has planned to lead the action as follows:
