The Congress of South African Congress in Gauteng is hosting on of the National May Day Rallies at Elka Stadium, Rockville in Soweto at 8:00 am. The 2024 May Day Rally is celebrated at the time workers in Gauteng are celebrating many victories which includes but not limited to the scrapping of e-tolls, tightening of the tight on crime, fight against zama-zamas, massive youth skills development program, youth job creation through Nasi Ispani Program. This May Day is also held during the year of the General Elections, where workers will be gathered to celebrate victories scored since 1994.

The May Day Rally will receive a keynote address by 1st Deputy President comrade Mike Shingange and messages of support form alliance partners as follows:

· SACP National Chairperson – Blade Nzimande

· SANCO 2nd Deputy President – Lucky
