The Congress of South African Trade Unions(COSATU) will be participating in the Chris Hani Institute (CHI)’s, Working Class Leadership School from Friday, 20 September until Sunday 22 September 2024. The Event will be held at the Parktonian Hotel in Braamfontein. Participants include the CHI, COSATU CEC Members and SACP Central Committee. The ANC and SANCO are also expected to attend.

In the main, the School will analyse the current political moment brought on by the ANC’s poor showing in the May 2024 Elections; the inclusion of the Democratic Alliance in the current GNU arrangement, and chart a way forward for the left axis through a joint programme of action.

CHI’s Director, Dr Sithembiso Bhengu, will deliver the opening address. COSATU President Cde Zingiswa Losi and SACP General Secretary Cde Solly Mapaila will also address the gathering. The ANC and SANCO are also billed to deliver messages of support.
