SASBO extends its warmest greetings to the Congress of South African Trade Unions as it convenes its 115th National Congress.
Congress comes at a time when workers across our economy, including in banking, insurance and financial services, face retrenchments, restructuring, rising living costs and an uncertain future of work.
It is a moment for the labour movement to speak with one voice in defence of jobs, fair wages, worker’s rights and the dignity of every worker.
Sasbo’s delegation attends Congress as the voice of finance workers, committed to securing decent, sustainable jobs, investing in the skills workers need for a changing sector, and strengthening unity across unions and sectors so that all workers bargain from a position of strength.
We wish the Federation, its leadership and all delegates a productive and unifying Congress and look forward to working together to give effect to its resolution in the interests of working people.
Yours in Solidarity,
Rosemary Rauleka, Sasbo General Secretary
Sasbo, the Finance Union
